The Natural Look

Are you drawn to natural looking make-up? A great way to achieve that barely there look from head to toe is by using a minimalist makeup technique. Your face will look nude, yet naturally radiant. Minimalism is about camouflaging your imperfections while allowing your God-given beauty shine, giving you a fresh-faced, flawless look.
The eyebrows in this look are soft, not heavily penciled or high arched. Simply trim the sparse or unruly hairs and comb into place.

For naturally luminous looking skin, start with the correct shade of foundation.  Skin should look supple and slightly moist, not matte. Only use powder if absolutely necessary.

The eyes are the mirror to the soul and should be showcased, but not overdone with this look. Instead of dark black mascara use brown or clear to complement your eyes. It will make your eyelashes look long without looking made up. If your eyelashes are still unimpressive try false eyelashes, but steer clear from the fashion lengths.

To finish, make sure your lips are soft and moisturized. Wear a gloss that’s clear or slightly tinted. Stay away from shimmer or frost.

I much prefer the natural make-up look that looks like I am not wearing make-up at all. Youtube and Instagram video clips show too many make-up finished product where the models look heavily made up. Even a night look shouldn't be too heavy on the make-up. When the face is covered too much the skin cannot breath and it really looks like the make-up is covering too many flaws. It is not practical to be using too much make-up. There is too much time wasted applying make-up trying to cover up each skin imperfection we have.

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that.
